SAMAL, BATAAN: A suspected drug dealer was killed in an armed encounter with police during a buy-bust in an upland village here at before dawn on Thursday. Chief Insp. Emelito dela Cruz, Samal police chief, said Vincent del Rosario of Barangay Sapa died after he engaged the law enforcers to a gunfight as he handed out one small sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer in sitio Adamson, Barangay Gugo. Dela Cruz said the victim took out his handgun from a black shoulder bag and fired but missed which prompted the operatives to return fire killing del Rosario. Recovered from the crime scene were a .38-caliber revolver with four live bullets and fired cartridge, a black shoulder bag containing P1,000 bill marked money, nine small sachet of suspected shabu and several cash.
