PRO12 General Santos City- Two suspects were killed in trading gunfire with Gensan’s Cops implementing search warrants in Barangay Buluan, General Santos City at 3:00 o’clock on Monday morning, April 2, 2018.

Authorities identified the suspects as Ruel Magaway, a customer broker of Bureau of Customs, and Antonio Villaplana Jr.

Authorities said that in a simultaneous operations, the suspects opened fire towards the raiding troops composed of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU12), Regional Mobile Force Battallion 12 (RMFB 12), City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) Police Station 3 of General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO), and PDEA 12 wherein the troops retaliated fatally wounding the said suspects.

The raiding troops rushed the two wounded suspects to the nearest hospital but were declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.

Recovered from Magaway were One (1) Unit Caliber 45 STI; and Three (3) pieces transparent plastic ‘shabu’ sachets.
Recovered from Villaplana were One (1) Unit Caliber 38 revolver, and Three (3) pieces ‘shabu’ sachets.

Meanwhile, authorities searched the house of Necon Serapio, a former BJMP personnel classified as Street Level Target (SLT) in the drug watch list of GSCPO yielded Four (4) ‘Shabu’ sachets, while the search in the house of Faith Irish Dela Torre, authorities recovered Six (6) ‘Shabu’ sachets and cash amounting to P240, 000.00.

Both Serapio and Dela Torre were arrested.
The suspects were brought to RPDEU 12 office for Medical Examination pending their booking and detention to PS 3, GSCPO while the recovered evidence will be placed in the custody of Regional Crime Laboratory Office 12 (RCLO12)
PCSupt Marcelo C Morales, the Regional director of PRO12 expressed his grateful appreciation for the success of operation and lauded the operating team and counterparts for their effort to cleanse Gensan City from illegal drugs and criminalities.

“It was a legitimate operation and it was not the first time the PNP in R-12 had accomplished on illegal drugs and FA’s, In fact we already had accomplished and may have more to be done as my legacy and commitment to carry out the marching order of President Duterte and our Chief PNP Bato Dela.” Chief Supt Morales said.
