STO.TOMAS, Batangas – A drug suspect, and his female companion were killed in an encounter with the police early Sunday morning here.

The Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) identified the slain suspect as Marcelino Javier Ramos alias Abudo/ Ace, a hgh value target in the Calabarzon area.

Ramos’ female companion remains unidentified as of presstime, thje police said.

Based on initial investigation, Ramos allegedly drew his firearm when he sensed the presence of police operatives during a buy bust operation conducted by Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and Sto Tomas Police at around 2:30 a.m. in Barangay San Isidro Sur.

His action triggered a gun battle which eventually led to his and his compoanion’s demise.
