Unidentified motorcycleriding men have shot dead an anti-drug operative and a drug suspect in La Union and Zamboanga City.

Police Officer 3 Michael Tan, 39, was driving his motorcycle on his way home when the assailants who tailed him along Veterans Avenue shot him several times at dawn yesterday.

Tan was declared dead on arrival at the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

Alexander Padilla, a resident of Barangay Namboongan in Sto. Tomas, La Union, and his brother Jonathan had just emerged from a cockpit in Barangay Ubagan at around 7 p.m. on Sunday when they were shot.

Alexander suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. Jonathan was hit in the arm and was declared out of danger.

Investigations into the killings are ongoing.
