Camp Gen. Santos, Bulacan — Ten suspected drug pushers were killed, one wounded, and 63 others arrested in anti-drugs operations conducted simultaneously over a course of 24 hours since midnight last Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Romeo M. Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director, identified those slain as alias “Barik,” of Guiguinto town; Henry Binas, alias “Kosa,” Dennis Espadero alias “Aba,” and a certain Diego, all of Malolos City; Obet Hernandez, of Pulilan; Robert James Camanian Hernani alias “Obet,” of San Rafael; Franklin Bautista Santos, of Hagonoy; Erwin Manlapig, of Bocaue; Juanito Calagos, of San Jose Del Monte City; and an alias “Baboy, of Barangay Pulong-Gubat, Balagtas.
Wounded in one of the anti-narcotics operations in Marilao was Reynan Lerio delos Santos alias “Boyet.”
Caramat said a total of 45 buy-bust operations were conducted by police, along with one service of warrant of arrest, and three implementations of search warrants. Local police stations were backed up by the Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and the Provincial Intelligence Branch.
Caramat said the operations resulted in the seizure of 272 plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” with a total estimated weight of 134.59 grams; eight sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves; 12 firearms; and assorted ammunition.
