SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna — Three helpers were shot and killed by five still unidentified armed men in Sitio Kasay-an, Purok 3, Barangay San Ignacio, before midnight Sunday.

Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Abdullah Jamerson M. Takukin, officer-on-case, identified the victims as Jessie Carabio, 28; Henry Rubina, 36; and Ramon Malones, all residents of the the area.

SPO1 Takukin said the killers wore bonnets when they stormed into an improvised tent at 11:45 p.m. and, without a word, opened fire at the victims, killing them on the spot.

He said it did not appear like the assailants took anything from the victims so the investigation into the motive of the attack was still underway.

Collected by homicide investigators from the crime scene as evidence were a .38-caliber revolver, bullet casings, a rolled aluminum foil.
