A SUSPECT of a gun attack incident was killed in a shootout with pursuing policemen in a west coast village in Zamboanga City, the police said Saturday.
The Police Station 9 reported that the incident happened around 6 a.m. Friday at Sitio Tarlangit in Baluno village.
The police identified the slain suspect as Nurhasan Sabdani, who engaged in a shootout with pursuing policemen.
The police said recovered from Sabdani’s possession were a caliber .45 pistol with ammunition, four medium-size sachets of suspected shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia.
The police said Sabdani was identified as the one behind the gun attack that injured Salip Jahisim, Jr., 38, the uncle of the suspect.
Jahisim was standing at the side of the road waiting for the arrival of his wife at Sitio Tarlangit in the village of Baluno when Sabdani allegedly shot him at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The police said Jahisim, who sustained three gunshot wounds, was hospitalized.
The police said Jahisim named Sabdani as the one who shot him. They are not in good terms since they have misundetanding almost two years ago. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
