Operatives of the Taguig City police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) yesterday retrieved P1.9 million in cash used as marked money in a buy-bust operation that ended with the suspected drug pusher killed in a busy roadway.
Suspect Michael Blancada Ordonez reportedly died in the gunplay at the southbound lane of C5 Road near the SM Aura mall in Taguig. About half a kilo of shabu was retrieved from the fatality, according to the police.
In a series of operations Sunday, 19 suspects, including two high-value targets, were arrested by by the Southern Police District which seized 60 kilos of marijuana worth P7.2 million.
The marijuana leaves were seized from a couple residing at the posh Ayala-Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City. Their names were withheld as operations are ongoing against their cohorts.
Among the regular customers of the kush-dealing couple are members of influential and rich families and showbiz personalities, according to a PDEA source.
