Joseph Rey Villegas

The Laguna police provincial police office, Calamba city police station, and other police operatives hatched the buy-bust operation against Villegas along Barangay Road of Barangay Bunggo at 10:10 a.m. An undercover law enforcer bought shabu worth P1,000 from Villegas, who immediately fired his gun he pulled from his waist after sensing police presence in the area. Lawmen also opened fire, injuring Villegas.

Ayon sa pulisya, si Villegas ang lider ng Villegas drug group na nagtutulak umano ng droga sa Calamba City at maging sa katabing Tanauan City, Batangas.

Isang priority high-value individual sa probinsiya ang suspek at nakatala pa umano sa drug watch list ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Dinala pa sa ospital si Villegas pero binawian ito ng buhay. Narekober sa suspek ang 9mm na baril na may marka ng BJMP, mga bala, isang plastik ng bag na may 10 sachet ng umano’y shabu at motorsiklo.

Ayon sa pulis, galing ang ibinebentang shabu ni Villegas.
