MANILA, Philippines — Three persons, including a village chief, were gunned down in Cagayan, Abra and Bulacan on Monday.
Police said George Sanidad, 45, chairman of Barangay Gaddani in Tayum, Abra, was in front of a convenience store when he was shot.
Jeffrey de Jesus, alias Jepok, reportedly drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Langka, Meycauyan, Bulacan at around 6:30 p.m.
Twelve sachets of shabu and a 9mm were reportedly recovered from the fatality.
Mateo Caina, 44, former chairman of Barangay Garab, Iguig, Cagayan, was shot in front of his house during the New Year’s Eve revelry. He died while being treated at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center.
Probers said 15 bullet shells for an M16 armalite were recovered at the scene.
Probers have yet to determine the motive for the killings.
