Jay-ar Quintana, 31, was killed in an operation in Barangay Mercedes in Pilar town at around 8:40 p.m.

Police reported that when Quintana was about to be arrested, he drew his gun and fired at the police officers, who were forced to fire back.

Quintana sustained several gunshot wounds and died on the spot.
