The war against illegal drugs remains bloody and deadly in Nueva Ecija after two suspected drug pushers getting killed when they resisted arrest during separate buy-bust operations conducted in Cabanatuan City and in Talavera town yesterday morning.
Meanwhile, another drug suspects was also killed in a police operation in General Trias City in Cavite.
In Cabanatuan City, police chief Supt. Criselda de Guzman identified the slain suspect as Crizen Madrid, of Purok Matatag, Bgy. Barrera.
De Guzman said the suspect, who was among those included on the drug personality watchlist of the station, fought off anti-drug operatives led by Senior Insp. Ronan James Eblahan during a buy-bust operation which resulted in his instantaneous death.
The operation was pulled off in Purok Amihan, Bgy. Barrera at 1 a.m.
In Talavera, suspected drug pusher Pedro Seratorre, 50, widower, of Bgy. Valle Cruz, was shot dead during an anti-drug operation conducted by his men, said town police head Supt. Joe Neil S. Rojo.
Recovered from his possession and at the encounter scene were the suspect’s Racal motorcycle, a cal. .38 revolver loaded with two fired and three live bullets, the P500 buy-bust money used in the operation, and five fired cartridges for cal. 9mm pistol.
In General Trias City, one alias ‘PokPok’ was killed in a police operation in Bgy. Bacao at 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Supt. Paul Bometivo, officer-in-charge of GenTri PNP, identified the slain suspect as John Paulo delos Reyes, BADAC listed, of Purok 9, Bgy. Bacao 2, who died during buy-bust operation.
Investigation showed that operatives acting as poseur-buyers were able to buy illegal drugs and subsequently introduced themselves as policemen but the suspect, instead of surrendering himself, drew a cal. .38 paltik and fired at the officers, who returned fire.
The suspect, who sustained gunshot wounds in the body, was rushed to Kalayaan Medical Hospital in Kawit, Cavite by DEU operatives but ws pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Sebastian, attending physician.
A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team confiscated two fired cartridge cases, one caliber .38 revolver without serial number with one fired cartridge case and three live ammunition in its chamber, seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money.
The body of the suspect was not autopsied due to refusal of the family.
