A suspected drug peddler who resisted arrest was shot to death by police operatives during a buy-bust operation in Ibaan, Batangas last Sunday.

Town police chief Major Roland M. Aniwasal identified the slain suspect as Christian Fernando Borja alias Itchan.

He said in an interview in Bgy. Talaibon that his men conducted a buy-bust against the suspect that resulted in an armed confrontation.

The undercover agent who acted as a poseur buyer immediately grabbed the suspect after the transaction but the latter resisted, suddenly drew his weapon and fired towards the operatives who were prompted to return fire.

The suspect sustained gunshot wounds in the body. He was brought to Queen Mary Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
