CITY OF MALOLOS – Five more were killed on the Bulacan Police simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (EMPO) on Thursday raising the number of total deaths on police encounters on the said day to 10.
In the early hours of Thursday, Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., police director of Bulacan, identified Erick Tabunda, Arwin Abregana alias Tongie, an alias Dada, alias Erick Canicon and alias Ver as resisting arrests by firing their guns on apprehending police operatives.
Tabunda was neutralized around 12:30 am in Barangay Mapulang Lupa in Pandi town; Abregana was killed around 1:20 am in Purok 5, Barangay Iba-Ibayo in Hagonoy; Dada was felled around 1:16 am in Barangay Santa Ines in Plaridel while alias Erick Canicon and alias Ver were killed in the City of Malolos around 4:35 am and 5:15 am respectively.
Caramat confided to RONDA Balita Online News that later that day, an alias Jojo shot it out before being felled in a drug sting in the Bocaue Public Market around 8:30 am; In Norzagaray town around 7:50 pm an alias Kulot and his unidentified cohort were killed in an encounter with arresting police operatives in Barangay Partida; Jose Domingo was entrapped in Barangay Santo Nino in Hagonoy around 11:10 pm and eventually killed when he fired his gun at poseur buyer who retaliated and an alias Tepan was neutralized around 11:55 pm in Malolos after transacting a drug deal.
Overall, Caramat said the Bulacan police conducted a total of 78 police operations wherein 67 of it were buy-bust operations and 11 were raids on pot sessions and conduct of Oplan Sita that eventually led to nine encounters killing 10 drug personalities.
A total of 360 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 109.9898 grams, four teabags of suspected dried marijuana leaves, six calibers .38 revolvers, five improvised shotguns and a caliber .45 gun were seized during the police operations, Caramat added.
