Ramos was cooking in the kitchen when unidentified men barged inside and shot him. (One report claims he was slain, while another that he was hospitalized).
The incident appeared to be one in a string of shootings carried out by the same suspects that evening.
The victims had previously surrendered to local authorities as drug users. The police, however, had information that they were also involved in drug pushing.
