CITY OF MALOLOS — Three drug suspects were killed during separate police operations here Wednesday morning.
Suspects identified only as “Pito” and “Lenard” were killed in an alleged gunfight with undercover lawmen at 3:40 a.m. in Barangay (village) Bulihan, according to the city police office.
Supt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos police chief, said Pito and Lenard opened fire as soon as the lawmen conducting a buy bust announced that the drug deal was part of a police operation.
Recovered from the suspects were five big plastic bags of marijuana, 11 sachets of marijuana, 8 sachets of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), a hand grenade and an improvised cal. 22 pistol.
At 4:20 a.m. in Barangay Look, a suspect identified as Marvin Lontoc was killed when he allegedly resisted arrest and fought the police after a buy bust, Bruno said.
Both operations were done with agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Bruno added.

Narekober din ang 5 plastic ice bag at 11 sachet na may lamang dahon ng hinihinalang marijuana mula kay Crisostomo, na guwardya sa isang pawnshop. Nakuha naman kay Santiago ang isang lalagyan na may 8 maliliit na sachet ng hinihinalang shabu.
Samantala, napatay malapit sa creek ng Barangay Pinagbakahan ang isa pang umano’y tulak si Marvin Lontoc.
Sakay ng motorsiklo si Lontoc nang nakipagtransaksyon umano sa mga pulis. Humantong sa engkuwentro ang operasyon ng maglabas ang suspek ng baril at barilin ang mga pulis, ayon kay Bruno.
Dati nang sumuko bilang drug suspek si Crisostomo.
