BACOLOD CITY – On May 8, Franie Genandoy Avanceña, 56, of Barangay Basak, was also slain by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants at the said village.
Police records showed that the victim was sitting at the waiting shed when he was shot by the gunmen. He was rushed to Guihulngan District Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police recovered from the scene four empty shells of .45 caliber, and a slug.
Based on the record of Guihulngan City Police Station, the victim was a drug surrenderer.
