North Bay Boulevard.
“Why my son?!” An inconsolabe Morena Legalig screams these words after seeing her son, Jerold, 31, in the morgue on the night he was killed. Jerold, a person with disability (PWD), was shot and killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Barangay NBBS, Navotas City during a party. His family claims that he was neither a drug user, nor he was listed in the government’s drug watchlist.
The spate of killings continue in the Philippines even as the police have been ordered to suspend their anti-drug operations. From last night alone, vigilante killings claimed the lives of six people including Jerold.
